Our country has become so divided. I have heard about many despicable racially motivated acts from around our country as well as two involving friends of mine.
My proposal to unite our country is for both parties to call on their electors to vote themselves into a tie. This will give the Senate the ability to appoint a president. I don't believe any of the candidates can unite our nation as they seem to be so very divisive. Under my proposal the Senate would nominate one Democrat and one Republican. They both should be rational, level-headed people. These two people would then become the president and vice president showing the country that the parties can indeed work together and that we are ONE nation. Paul Ryan or Jon Huntsman and Elizabeth Warren come to mind.
