Save Our Oceans

Fishermen are taking more fish out of the ocean than the ocean's ecosystem can support. 32% of fisheries are over exploited, depleted, or recovering from depletion. As many as 90% of all the ocean’s large fish have been fished out. Several important commercial fish populations have declined to the point where their survival is threatened. Each year, billions of unwanted fish and other animals - like dolphins, marine turtles, seabirds, sharks, and corals - die due to inefficient, illegal, and destructive fishing practices. Also, destructive fishing practices such as bottom trawling, cyanide fishing, dynamite fishing, and ghost fishing are very destructive to easily damaged ecosystems such as reefs, seagrass meadows and more. Don't stop fishing, just don't fish in harmful ways.
