Save Residential North Carolina Students

Created by K.L. on July 25, 2013

Stop North Carolina from passing bills that endanger students and penalize them for voting.
Tenure is on the verge of being cut, which eliminated the only protection teachers have from being unfairly fired due to job longevity or political views since NC educators are not allowed to unionize. This means a decrease in exceptional teachers who know what they are doing.
Reverse the gun law that now allows them in bars, parks, playgrounds, and on campus; they do not have to stay in locked cars. This is a threat to student and public safety.
Stop the reduction on youth votes. Early voting has been decreased by a week, 17 year olds are no longer allowed to register if they turn 18 in the year, and residents who attend school out of state may soon face a choice: vote absentee, lose tax dependency
