Save Social Security by increasing the retirement age to 72.

Created by A.C. on April 10, 2013

All political parties agree that the Social Security Trust Fund will be depleted by the year 2036, at which time full benefits would no longer be able to be paid. This is an issue that All Americans have an interest in. Whether you are just starting college, settling into your career, getting ready to retire or are already retired, this will have an impact on your future.

We have the ability today to take care of tomorrows problems. No longer shall we hold out for an 11th hour miracle from congress. It is a problem we all agree is coming, let's deal with it now.

With increasing life expectancy, it is common sense to increase the benefit age. A gradual increase in retirement age over the next 10 to 20 years is an acceptable and responsible approach.
