The SS United States, the last remaining US flagged transatlantic passenger vessel, is in danger of destruction. This vessel has an amazing history, including the fact that it still holds the Blue Riband (fastest transatlantic ocean liner), more than 60 years after its first voyage (and always will). In her heyday, she was the pride of a Nation. This ship has counted 4 U.S. Presidents as Passengers, as well as countless celebrities and dignitaries, even The Mona Lisa took a voyage on her. Sadly, the vessel has been docked since 1969, changing hands through the years. A redevelopment plan is in the works but time is fleeting. We need help to make the SS United States a viable re-development project for the 21st Century. Help make her the pride of our Nation once again!
