Save the S.S. United States From the Scrap Yard!

Created by A.G. on April 15, 2013

The S.S. United States was once the flag ship of the United States Lines. She is the fastest ocean liner ever built, and she was designed for a one day transformation into a troop transport ship. Currently she is laid-up in Philadelphia under the owner ship of the S.S. United States Conservancy which is running out of funding and may be forced to sell her for scrap. The United States is on the National Register of Historic Places due to her significance to the maritime industry. Kings and presidents have sailed onboard her. It is high time that federal funding help the Conservancy return the S.S. United States to her former glory.

Sincerely,
Adam
