Dear President Obama,
I live in Honolulu and my child attended the Starbase Pearl Harbor Program as a 5th grader, as thousands of Hawaii's keiki have. I have recently heard that funding for this program has been cut from the budget for next fiscal year. My child received outstanding motivation in STEM education that the program provides. He recently graduated from Notre Dame with a Master's Degree in Accounting and will soon begin work in Chicago. Because Hawaii is such a far distance from the East coast, we sometimes do not get heard. Please reconsider cutting this program. Hawaii's Keiki need this program!
