Texas could save millions of dollars per year by ending arrests for marijuana possession. In 2013, the number of people arrested in the U.S. for nonviolent drug charges was 1.5 million. The government would save about $13.7 billion on arrests costs and tax revenue. It's time to take action, save the state of Texas money.
