To save the Sumatran rhinoceros population by funding conservation efforts and taking direct action against poachers.

Created by U.S. on March 26, 2014

We petition the Obama administration to aid in the restoration of the Sumatran rhinocerous population that has been ever dwindling due to poachers and deforestation.

To do this, we would desire the government to directly fund restoration programs such as the Borneo Rhino Sanctuary. In addtion, it would be beneficial, to both our military and the rhino population, if United States peacekeepers were deployed in areas such as Borneo and Sumatra where the rhinos are numerous. These peacekeepers would be designed to monitor rhino activity and protect against poachers. In addition to saving the rhino, our troops would be receiving hands-on training for jungle environments.
