Save the United States Postal Service, Remove congress mandated 75 year pre-funding of retiree benefits.

Created by J.P. on January 29, 2014

While the Government wants the public to think the Post Office is losing money because the decline of mail volume. The real reason the United States Post Office is losing money is because Congress is sucking the money from the postal service.

Congress decided that the Post Office was wealthy enough to prefund health benefits for future retirees for the next 75 years they have to pay billions to the government, mind you, something no other public or private agency does.

This was also a time where they froze job creation and locked wages, and also created "new titles" for existing jobs to take away benefits and reduce pay by 35%

Congress needs to take away this bill requiring the post office to pre-fund retiree benefits for 75 years in the future. Sucking billions from the USPS every year
