Over 20,000 people report their identity as stolen each day to the Federal Trade Commission. These are only the persons who take the time to report it. With the OPM hack affecting 20 million people, hacks of businesses and insurance companies, it seems no one is safe from having their identity stolen. Once you social security number is stolen you have no way to get a replacement or further protect yourself from this being threatening to you and your financial well being for the rest of your life. There has to be a better way. Please consider a national registration in which we would replace social security numbers with a new form of identification which is more specific and can be validated. Technology has changed, but our system has not. Please help us from identity theives.
