Save the USS Enterprise CVN - 65 from the scrap heap.

CVN - 65 USS Enterprise aircraft carrier is the first of its class as well as a recorder setter and the most powerful of its kind making it a historical icon for Americans. With the carriers deactivation in place the fate of the Enterprise is destined for a scrap heap after its nuclear power plant is removed and all of the hazardous materials are removed as well. Because of its storied past and historical significance it would be a tragic loss to allow the Enterprise to be lead to a grave as opposed to a pasture and as such this petition is a request that the Enterprise be turned into a floating museum and memorial of its time of service and many crew members as well as highlighting its military involvements.
