save the Yazidis trapped on Mt. Sinjar, protect the civilian population of Iraq, and destroy the Islamic State.

Iraq is in crisis, as a force of utter barbarity and evil sweeps across the cradle of civilization, chopping off hands and heads with abandon. At the moment, the Iraqi military and Kurdish militias are overwhelmed by the forces of the Islamic State. If we do not take action now, a full-blown genocide will result. We must:
1) Provide logistical and tactile support to rescue the 40,000 Yazidis trapped on Mt. Sinjar.
2) Assist Kurdish and Iraqi forces in their attempts to protect the critical Mosul dam.
3) Provide support to the efforts of the Iraqi army in retaking territory captured by the Islamic state, including intelligence, logistics, and air strikes.
4) Capture Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and bring him to trial at the International Criminal Court in the Hague.
