Save the Yellowstone Grizzly

Created by D.P. on August 23, 2016

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service plans to remove Endangered Species Act protections for Yellowstone’s grizzly bears, triggering a trophy hunt and placing the bears in grave danger.

President Obama says that the greatest threat to our national parks is climate change, but his agency does not recognize the risk, stating “we conclude that the effects of climate change do not constitute a threat to the [Yellowstone grizzly bear population] now, nor are they anticipated to in the future.” This is an astonishing contradiction.

We are petitioning the president to take executive action maintaining federal protections for the Yellowstone grizzly.
