Yokohl Valley, in Tulare County, California, is a historic and idyllically scenic treasure under threat of imminent development. It contains significant Indian artifacts and wildlife, and has sustained ranching operations since the arrival of settlers. The valley is of great significance to native American history, long-time local residents, the descendents of early settlers and ranching. It is in imminent danger of getting torn up by bulldozers and covered with an immense 10,000 unit housing subdivision by a developer located far away, in the San Diego area.
Please extend the nearby Giant Sequoia National Monument westward to protect this valley using the Antiquities Act.
