Say NO to the Keystone Pipeline.
1) Canada has promised no protections or plans for a cleanup should a spill occur.
2) The pipeline would run down the heart of the US over an aquifer that is the second largest body of water behind the Great Lakes. This aquifer is the water supply for the heartland of American. These states that use this aquifer are filled with farms that grow crops and raise animals that are the bread basket of our food supply. An oil spill here would cripple our ability to raise our own food supply for generations if not forever. The damage to this aquifer would be irreversible.
3) No guarantees that any of the oil would stay in the US. TransCanada could export it all.
4) There are only about 50 permanent jobs.
