Say No To Racial Profiling, Say No To Ray Kelly As Director Of Homeland Security

Racial profiling is dehumanizing. Racial profiling in policing only creates divisions between the police and communities they are supposed to protect. Prior to the President's speech on racial profiling, he offered praise for Ray Kelly which has overseen the most blatantly racist policing program in recent decades with stop and frisk. 2012 there were 500k stops , 87% blacks and Hispanics, 89% completely innocent. Kelly and NYPD are CURRENTLY facing federal charges for stop and frisk yet the President is considering him for Homeland Security Director. We do not need someone with Kelly's ideas about racial profiling being given the authority of the federal government to enact these policies on a national level. Say no to racial profiling. Say no to Ray Kelly as Director of Homeland Security.
