TransWest Express LLC, plans to build a 730 mile High-Powered Transmission Line to bring wind power from Wyoming to Las Vegas. This is not green energy when the path of destruction crosses four states and causes permanent environmental damage along the way. Areas affected include Priority Sage Grouse Habitat & breeding grounds; Wild Horse Management Areas; National Park and Conservation Areas; and miles across BLM and National Forest Service public lands.
Point source energy should be a dominating goal as we move into a future of renewable energy. Locations such as Las Vegas, Nevada, have an endless supply of sun and wind to provide all the energy needs of this major city.
