President Rouhani has recently opened up channels for dialogue on relations between Iran and the United States. President Obama has a historic chance to mend our relationship with Iran. Doing so will strengthen our stance in the Middle East and provide a valuable ally in our ongoing endeavors as a global authority. There is no current political drawback for such a move as the president does not have anything to lose in his participation.
