We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Schedule a Presidential visit to a Sikh Temple or Gurudwara.

Created by B.S. on October 13, 2016

In light of ongoing hate violence against members of the Sikh community across the US and calls from members of Congress to address this issue, we the people call upon President Barack Obama to publicly visit a Sikh Gurudwara in the United States or India.

Since 9/11, Sikhs have been among the most common targets of misguided violence in the US. This is a community which has been in the US for more than 130 years and which shares a common set of values with all Americans.

A public appearance will raise the profile of Sikhs in the US and increase awareness of this uniquely American community.
