Schools shouldn't be able to search students belongings or schools should be limited when doing so

Created by J.S. on November 15, 2015

Schools are abusing their authority of searching students belongings and cell phones. There are too many administrators taking advantage and searching students without probable cause. I think limiting the reasons that they can search students property is the perfect solution. All people deserve a right to privacy, no matter what age. There are many incidents where kids are getting their property searched when they simply get sent out of the classroom for being disruptive. At John F. Kennedy high school in Bellmore, NY a student was attacked and the student who was attacked got his cell phone searched to make sure he didn't record the incident. The administrator who searched this kids phone should be IMMEDIATELY fired. We need to put some sort of restriction to give students some privacy!
