We fans of the ancient wisdom known as The Golden Rule typically stated as
"Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you"
hope that if The Golden Rule's efficacy were proven scientifically, then so many MORE people would follow it ACTIVELY enough that the world would become measurably happier.
Please ask (or fund?) the science community and its patrons to help scientifically prove whether (or not) enough people already follow The Golden Rule actively enough that individuals deciding to do the same can be confident it's best even though it's occasionally costly.
Once enough of us decide to live in a society when followers of The Golden Rule can easily become prosperous rather than just easy prey,
WE SHALL.
Meanwhile, "those with the gold...rule".
