"Star-Spangled Banner" has really difficult range and is usually (almost ALWAYS) relegated to solo performance- this is not American "e plurabus unum". Let's instead scrap this ode to single battle in single war and instead acknowledge the contributions made by warriors throughout this nation's great history. Let's acknowledge contributions of patriots is all aspects of life through various means- be they entrepreneurs who made capitalistic ventures that got us to be the world's leading economy or Socialists who secured fundamental rights for proletariat through collective bargaining- making us freest in world. Whether it was young Johnny marching off to war to defend us against the Nazis or his girl Rosie the Riveter back home helping make or military the most industrious in the world.
