The Interview is almost certainly not a good movie. But it is better to sit through one hundred terrible films than to allow hackers or terrorists or foreign governments to decide what can or can't be shown. Accordingly we, the undersigned, petition President Obama to screen The Interview at the White House.
We believe such a screening would deliver a pointed and effective rebuke to those who would seek to restrain freedoms they fear and little understand, and embolden those who would be inclined to defend artistic freedom and expression, even when it comes from James Franco and Seth Rogan.
