About 12 million people are residing in the United States of America illegally, ideally this number would drop to zero. Immigration laws may indeed need reform, but before a valid and productive discussion about that can occur it is necessary that the rampant violation of existing laws be stopped. Illegal immigrants have shown a disregard for the laws of our country by traveling to and/or residing here illegally and as such should be immediately deported upon discovery. To further the goal of ending illegal immigration it is also necessary that our borders be secured against unauthorized entry. We have the means to accomplish this goal.
