The open border and our relaxed and ineffective immigration laws are an open sore available for enemies abroad to exploit. Drug cartels, foreign agents and terrorists have an easy entrance into our country. Illegal aliens have placed a strain on our economy and because they have broken laws to enter the United States, should be labeled as criminals, deported and made to follow the same rules as those who came here legally. Illegal aliens who commit crimes inside the United States should only be deported to their country of origin after serving an appropriate sentence in proportion to the crime committed, up to and including life sentences.
