Secure Freedom for Sri Lankan Migrant Workers in Saudi Prisons

Created by C.D. on February 05, 2013

There are many Sri Lankan migrant workers languishing in Saudi Arabia prisons . Among them, former Sri Lankan Air force force officer Thungasiri is in prison because he had a Buddha statue in his bedroom and Asitha because a cartoon of Prophet Mohammed had appeared on his Facebook page.

Sri Lankan Actor turned politician Ranjan Ramanayake had already made an appeal to the US Ambassador in Sri Lanka about Thungasiri and Asitha.

We Sri Lankan-Americans along with Sri Lankans all over the world appeal to President Obama to influence and persuade the Saudi Government not to persecute Sri Lankan migrant workers based on their religious beliefs and to release all Sri Lankan prisoners in Saudi Prisons including Thungasiri and Asitha
