Space debris had been a growing problem since the dawn of space exploration. The film "Gravity" had highlighted the realistic dangers posed by space debris on astronauts and other equipments.
Because of that, we sincerely hope that Mr Obama will try to secure funding and resources, and begin the development of a specialized tractor beam that will remove space debris from orbit, and make them to undergo destructive reentry in the atmosphere, in order to reduce the risks posed by these high speed junks.
