Pastors Youcef Nadarkhani and Saeed Abedini are innocent; their only crime adherence to the Christian faith. These men have wives and families, and to many Americans they are brothers in faith.
Even to those of other beliefs, this case should be immensely worrying; the idea that any person's religious convictions may be dictated by the state must be relegated to the grave.
Their release must be arranged as soon as humanly possible by the administration. Saeed Abedini, an American citizen, should be returned home. Youcef Nadarkhani should be offered a permanent visa.
