Put unemployed veterans to work providing security in our schools until other solutions can be found to stop violence. Their presence in our schools would at least have a strong deterrent effect and possibly stop violence before it starts. Funding for this program can be provided by ending marijuana enforcement that should provide between $7 and $12+ billion per year for this program. We owe it to our children to provide them with safe and secure schools and to our veterans to make sure they are employed when they return home.
This program should be implemented as soon as possible by Executive Order, if possible, or emergency Congressional action, if necessary. Delay is inexcusable.
