TO PROTECT US FROM IDENTITY THEFT--MY PETITION IS FOR A NEW MEDICARE NUMBER, AND/OR NEW SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER
Our Social Security number has morphed from a number for SOCIAL SECURITY into a number required by too many entities. It's no longer a private number. It has become the "key" to entering into our life and possibly taking it over. Our Social Security number has too many unintended consequences such as Identity Theft.
Medicare, too, is using our Social Security number. Therefore any and every hospital, Health Insurance Co., Doctor's office, etc.,and staff members have the"key" to our identity. We don't know how secure our information is. It is not a matter of if but when it will happen to us.
