Those who sign here petition the United States government to secure funding and resources, and begin construction on a Space Dock by 2016.
By dedicating resources to a space dock, The government can rapidly increase job creation in engineering, space exploration, telecommunications, interplanetary development, scientific research, and stellar ship development. The best and most important part, it would give us the ability to become a 2 planet species with in our life time, securing the survival of our species in the event of a catastrophic E.L.E. on Earth. I think one would be hard pressed to find someone at NASA who would say this is a bad idea. This would also open up brand new economic opportunities that have never existed before.
