Certain articles of legislation could potentially be construed to allow same-sex couples the ability to sue a Priest or Ordained Minister for refusing to execute their unionization based on their religious beliefs. The purpose of this petition is to urge Congress or the Presidential Administration to enact legislation that guarantees the right of religious institutes to refuse to execute the marriage of a same-sex couple if doing so is in conflict with their religious beliefs.
