The violent response of the Syrian regime to the legitimate demands of the unarmed and peaceful demonstrators in Syria continues to grow daily in ferocity. Divisions of the Syrian army and security forces, with heavy armour and weapons, are being deployed into the different cities across Syria and are wreaking havoc on the population with indiscriminate shelling of the towns and neighborhoods, arbitrary detention, torture and killing of innocent civilians, sowing of terror across entire communities and destruction of both private and public property.
