Security systems and security officers in every school in America.

To protect America's children at school, steps should be taken to strengthen security at every school in America. Security systems and trained security officers should be installed at all schools. Most office buildings and most other government facilities have security cameras and guards. Why not schools? We can't just let teachers bring weapons to schools nor could we reasonably keep weapons out of the hands of every nut-job in this country. Drop the empty rhetoric and do something to protect the kids. Divert resources from the broken prison system or from the existing police force. Priorities. End the drug war, use that money. or stimulus. Wherever the resources come from. Just do it. There's been 181 major school shootings since columbine. Time to try something different.
