Security though firearm education and implimentation, not control

In difference to opinions to restrict firearm posession, I ask you look to a firearms purpose of defense.
Allow us to be educated in gun safety, and storage safety. Is it not the goverments role to educate its nation on our rights, and to help us maintain them. How then can you propose to limit us for the few who act in absense of humanity?
I swear to my nation:
A firearm is not a tool to kill.
I do not use my firearm in bursts of emotion, but to maintain proficiency and to promote the sport of hunting.
I do not kill my neighbors, Nor do I wish them to kill me. I will defend my neighbors with this gun as they should defend me.
I advocate peace, but I will not be forced to beg for life when ill-prepared.
My resolve and my strength make me American, My right to bear arms makes me a patriot
