See the Defendant's family as a firsthand victim and allow them to receive help through the Victims Rights Act

Created by R.T. on January 13, 2013

The defendant's family should be seen as a victim to the defendant's crime. They should be allowed the same rights as the true victim and their families. Mothers and fathers are put in prison everyday with shattered lives left behind. There are no programs in place that help the children and spouse of the defendant to receive help. Such as counseling, communication with the courts, and how to help your child(ren) cope with the loss of their loved one. My children need a voice, I am their voice. We are victims. We need help, we need change.
