I wish for the US to make fracking illegal. It is a danger to humans for it causes earthquakes, contaminates ground water, and pollutes the air. Even if there are "safe" measures for extraction, we as nation should be taking the high road to explore clean, renewable energy. Not the easy way and find ways to get more gas.
We as a nation should cut ourselves off of fracking before we become dependent on it. We should invest in the conversion from fossil fuels to solar or wind energy. A sensible conversion on a realistic time span.
Fracking is a step backwards towards clean energy. If we keep running in this circle of fossil fuel dependence then we will have issues to face in the future. If this is a necessary step to renewable energy, then lets have a plan to disengage from fracking.
