Beyond the debate on the Nuclear energy’s pros and cons, things at Kodankulam shows Democracy in India is at the brink of extinction.Police killed 2 men,Attacks and sexual abuse on peaceful protesters including Women and children by police throw lights on the death of democracy in India. Around 115000 people are charged in various cases including sedition and waging war against the state, this includes Children under the age of 14 and a blind old man over his 70s.Adding insult to the injuries the police desecrated the Mary of Lourdes Church,demolished the statue of Mother Mary and urinated the church altar.
