Seek campaign finance reform by nominating Lawrence Lessig to the US Supreme Court

Created by J.P. on April 02, 2016

President Barack Obama has stressed on healing the division between Republicans and Democrats in this country. Polling shows that a majority of conservatives and liberals are in favor of campaign finance reform. In Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, the court ruled in favor of corporations and other activist groups being able to spend unlimited money in the political campaign process. Lawrence Lessig is a principled constitutional lawyer in favor of campaign finance reform and has been vocal in the criticism of Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. The issue of campaign finance reform is an issue that Republicans and Democrats both want to address. The nomination of Lawrence Lessig to the US Supreme Court is a step to address this issue.
