We can free someone from prison, but we can never free them from the grave. Human beings make fallible creatures and, in turn, our justice system is as well. The death penalty is unconscionable, contradictory, and renders our people ultimately vulnerable to a system that makes mistakes.
There is no bigger government intrusion into the lives of citizens than for that government to take that life away. Put an end to the death penalty.
