This petition is designed to avoid the growing epidemic of fraud against music fans by taped performances being sold to the public as "LIVE" performances that are lip-syncing. I site the 2 following examples:
-KISS continues to perform live without the "bait and switch" of selling a recorded performance as a live performance after 40 years of touring.
-THE Queen Of Soul Aretha Franklin sang live at twice the age in half the temperature as the artists that used recorded tracks at this years inauguration.
Surely if it was required that all ads, websites, and tickets were required to have the fact that recorded tracks were being used at concerts, many fans would not pay their hard earned money to attend. Congress should pass a "TRUTH IN PERFORMANCE LAW" regarding this issue
