Seek to reduce foreign aid to Uganda by at least 25% per year due to its unethical laws regarding homosexual citizens.

Created by P.M. on February 24, 2014

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has recently signed into law a bill that would punish homosexual citizens and their allies with up to life imprisonment for being who they are and advocated for equal protection under the law.

While the recognition of homosexual relationships is certainly not settled in the United States, particularly in regard to marriage, we feel that all people should recognize the completely unethical and unacceptable punishment the Ugandan government would place on their people for merely discussing the issue or advocating for better treatment under the law.

The protection of free expression is one of our nations highest ideals, and we should not financially support nations who suppress this fundamental right necessary for the functioning of government by the people
