Seek ways to assist Mexico with improving their standard of living to decrease illegal immigration to the USA.

The American government should be seeking ways to assist our neighbor to the south instead of sending billions of dollars to the middle-east or other countries that hate us. Dialog with the Mexican government about ways to help them with manufacturing and internal security infrastructure should be held. The goal is to raise their standard of living to a level that would make illegal entry into the US an "unacceptable risk" since they would be able to support their families locally. Helping our neighbor in the south will yield a bigger Return on Investment than the money currently wasted in countries like Pakistan. Raising their standard of living will benefit both countries by reducing deaths of immigrants sneaking into the US and enhancing the safety of our LE officers and citizens.
