We demand that the rights to this resource be granted to the citizens through a national trust and written into law by an emergency Presidential Executive order.
We the citizens of the United States of America hereby seize (at a minimum) via a direct tax 50% of all financial profit derived from the sale and or export of oil and natural gas resources.
Oil being by definition a natural resource must be made available to claim by the public and of the inhabitants of the land.
Every citizen must be granted equal claim to the rights of any profit generated by the sale of said resource.
Additionally a constitutional amendment hearing should be called. For the future generations of this great Nation we must assure a permanent and secure allocation of our finite resources.
