Selective Service registration should be required with women just as it is with men ages 18-25 years of age.

Created by B.R. on January 24, 2013

As women are now allowed to serve on the front lines in our military, Rostker v. Goldberg has been rendered useless. The ruling was that combat restrictions did not allow women to be drafted. Men must register for the Selective Service in order to receive federal loans for higher education and federal employment. Fines and imprisonment are also consequences of not registering, as stated by the SSS. Equality is very important in our American society, and this clearly is in violation of the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment.
