Self-service shipping kiosk to be allowed within the TSA Body search area, seized items may be shipped by traveler.

Created by R.B. on December 08, 2011

A self-service kiosk(USPS, UPS or Fed-Ex) be allowed within the Airport TSA Body search area, and when a non-allowed item is found, that the TSA agent be allowed to escort the traveler and the contraband item to the secured kiosk for later pick-up and shipping, all shipping costs to be incurred by the traveler.
Thousands of travelers are inconvenienced and/or deprived of their property due to the TSA flight restrictions imposed upon U.S. air travel. The situation is all too common, someone forgets to remove a restricted item from their person prior to travel.
Going back through security is not an option if the person is to be able to board their plane on time. So the item gets sacrificed to Security Theater. US Air travel has become a punitive experience. This simple solution would help.
