Most of flyover country is whining about secession. Fine. Let's let them go. But they weren't free before they were part of the US - they belonged to France. I say we sell these states back, then let them argue about their destiny with a *real* socialist government.
And while we're at it, let's repair relations with Mexico by reopening the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and surrendering. Hopefully, we can get them to take back Texas, as expiation for a century of cross-border heartache and woe.
