Send Aid to The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico's drought relief

Created by J.G. on August 12, 2015

Within the last 3 months the drought that the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico has been enduring for the past 2 years has worsened. The resevoir is at the lowest levels it has been for decades. The government is trying the best they can with the resources they have and in some parts the water is turned off for five days at a time (meaning no showers, no handwashing, no dishes, no plumbing.)

And yet the US has done nothing to acknowledge their struggle.

We petition the Obama administration to send aid to the island of Puerto Rico such as bottled water for the poor who cannot afford to buy bottled water and providing food for disadvantaged school children who have had their school days cut short (including lunch programs that they relied on for steady meals)
