Send cases of police brutality to the Federal Government rather than that officer's department.

Created by N.A. on January 28, 2014

With today's technology, civilians are able to record video footage of the police abusing their power and harming American citizens. Unfortunately, most of these cases are not fully investigated by the officer's department. How can we expect a proper investigation if the investigators are the officer's home team?

Many members of the police force do an incredible job and deserve recognition, but the individuals committing inhumane crimes should be properly sentenced by an authority higher than their own department. Only when these individuals are held accountable for their actions, and it is clear to them that these crimes will NOT simply be overlooked and dismissed, will we see change in the way police and civilians interact.
